Someone out there has created a wonderful video of what would happen if Microsoft redesigned the iPod packaging. It’s great fun to watch, but it’s also a wonderful lesson in product design.
“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to remove.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Aaaaand…the video’s been yanked. Seems like it might be something from in-house that escaped?
Hm. Not yanked for me. I can still load it. That’s strange.
I wonder if you could enter this into that eco-packaging contest at Treehugger –
Oh wait — I just checked, and it’s long over. Still — I’ve always wondered why such a big box is necessary for a product that prides itself on its teeniness –
Hi, Can I use this icon (http://www.robertblum.com/challengemap/icons/marker_green.png) for my google maps website (http://www.timhibbard.com/wherestim.aspx)
Tim
By the way, you can now download YouTube videos (and many more) with KeepVid: http://keepvid.com/
Hi Tim!
Yes, feel free to use the icon. I’ve simply taken Google’s default icon and recolored it.
Thanks Robert!
