March 15th has come, and passed, and no upgrade to iCalFix. That’s due to the fact that I did a lot of hard thinking about it and have decided to abandon the monthly updates.
Over the last few months, I’ve learned a lot about iCal and what people using it would like to see in an improved version. The intention is to take all that knowledge and turn it into a version 1.0 of iCalFix. Yes, that includes a universal binary - as soon as I can afford a new computer.
And since I’d like to do it all in one chunk, that is a good six to eight weeks out from here. Of course, if there are bugs in the old version, they’ll still get fixed - but no new features until 1.0 is done. If there are particular features that you’re really keen on, please let me know at rob.blum@gmx.net - I’m still looking for a few beta testers.
So, my apologies to all of you who’ve been checking for a new version - it’s delayed. Watch this space for further announcements.
Have you considered either opensourcing iCalFix or at least releasing this source? There are lots of part time mac programmers (myself included) who could be updating the software.
Regards Maurice
I’ve thought about it, but so far I’m eager to do those changes myself
Should I lose interest, I’ll definitely open it up.
