After finally having paid for a Membership at John Gruber’s excellent Daring Fireball today, his link feed pointed me to an amazing application for editing blog posts. I’ve been a long-time user of MarsEdit, but their increasing tie-in to NewsGator left me with a slightly sour taste.
On the other hand, I spent a long time lusting after the TextMate editor anyways, so I was more than curious to check out their blogging bundle demonstration.
And I’m simply amazed. It may still be a little bit rough around the edges, but the overall package makes blogging amazingly easy and fun. And what gave the final push? The fact that posting pictures is now as easy as dragging a picture into your editor. Watch the screen cast!!

Oh, two quick notes: Of course I bought TextMate! And for all of you waiting for an Intel iCalFix – I can almost afford an Intel Mac. iCalFix(UB) will be there by end of July, latest.
