Hey, I really admire your determination to come up with a fix by yourself. Now, I'm a student, and there's something that I always wished to have on iCal: I have a lot of events (e.g. classes) that repeat weekly, for 10 weeks (the length of a school quarter). It's really annoying to manually go in and set recurrence for all of them one by one. Is there a way to hack it such that iCal will automatically set the same recurrence for an entire calendar. E.g. I'd have a calendar called "school" and I can set the recurrence for all of the events in that folder at once. That'd be a dream come true

I've installed iCal Fix and was disappointed to learn that it just flashes a message but does not allow you to send an email. Since the whole reason for getting an alarm is to remember something, having one I dismiss and not a mail message in front of my face in my inbox is just as likely that the event will be forgotten when I'm giving myself a heads up the day before.

So, it would be really nice if one could choose the TYPE of notification. A dismissible alarm does me no good at all.

Hi Steffan!

I'm not sure how easy that would be to add to iCal, but you might want to check out 'Today' : http://secondgearllc.com/today/

Hi Robert. Just wondering whether it is or ever will be possible to create an alarm that would automatically come on when you switch on your mac the day before an event so that you don't have to input any specific time. This would be so handy as Im sure many mac users want to be reminded of up and coming events without being tied to having the computer on at one specific time? Thank you very much.

@Dave:

No, 0.6.1 is not working with Leopard, due to various reasons. See http://www.robertblum.com/articles/2007/10/16/ive-been-appled for more details

I've tentatively started working on a new approach, but don't expect anything too soon.

Is version 0.6.1 supposed to work with Leopard? It appears to install properly but it doesn't show up in iCal references.
