Since I’ve just been asked by Paul D. Waite what this ubiquitous “X and Y and Z, oh my!” reference on many (American) blogs is all about, here’s the solution to the riddle:

Of course, I have to admit that I didn’t know it myself. I had to ask one of my colleagues, who’s actually been growing up here. Me, I’m just a German transplant who uses a colloquialism he likes.
