In many ways, iCal is a very nice calendaring application. In many other ways, it’s a major pain. One of these problems is sharing a calendar between two users.
My wife and I are both rather busy, and unfortunately in different jobs. That means we spend a lot of time syncing up our calendars, making sure we know each others appointments, etc. And still - things slip through the cracks. We both keep our own iCal calendar, but there’s no easy way to share them.
That is, until BusySync entered the scene. This little app auto-discovers other iCal calendars around you and allows you to easily share them - both ways. I can add to my wife’s calendar, she can add to mine, and we can see each others schedule. I’ve been testing it for a couple of days now, and it’s been simply awesome. I couldn’t imagine living without it any more.
So go head over to the BusySync download page and get your trial copy. They’re in beta till the end of the month, and then will start selling for $49.95. Yes, that’s not cheap - but it is worth every cent.
Nice find, thanks for sharing! BTW, do you have any recommendations for syncing your iCal with Google Calendar?
Hi Tomas!
Glad you liked it. From all I hear, ‘Spanning Sync’ is the tool of choice for Google Calendar syncing.
Thanks for the tip!
