		<description>&lt;p&gt;It has quieted down a bit - but the christian right is still pushing for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. (Sigh!)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So we need to quash that before we&#039;ll finally have peace...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;(There&#039;s also a question to the legality of the ballot proposal. Technically, it might be a revision, not an amendment - which is not legal under the CA constitution. I&#039;d prefer to win this one at the ballot box, though...)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That&#039;s what happened in Canada - I big ballyhoo immediately after, then lots of couples got married and the str8 world mostly forgot about it and went about their business.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Turns out (big surprise) it really wasn&#039;t the end of the world after all :)&lt;/p&gt;
