		<description>&lt;p&gt;I can so relate - my SO and I also gave up cable about 7 years ago now, and we don&#039;t miss it.  We get essentially 4 channels over the air here and that&#039;s plenty. Plus we also do the Netflix-type thing (Zip.ca here). Sounds like we had the same thought process.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I don&#039;t know how the 30d trial would go. I&#039;d miss TV news I think (FYI I&#039;m in Canada, the news approach is not quite the CNN feeding frenzy thing, so it&#039;s a bit more watchable).  Perhaps a modified 30d trial only watching news.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Or perhaps only scheduled watching - ie, shows that are grabbed on DVD recorder, e.g. DailyShow, and maybe Dr. Who. :)&lt;/p&gt;

I am trying to watch at least an hour or two of TV at night...just to absorb some pop culture back into my life.
